To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 15 minutes into the match, Piquirenda FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ramiro Jerano came free, but Didi Papardelas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 16th play minutes Eugenio Bernal shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Virgilio Sotil and just under the crossbar into goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laureano Abeita in the 20th minute of play forced Villa Mitre's goalkeeper Virgilio Sotil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Gaspar Mateo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Didi Papardelas was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Virgilio Sotil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugenio Bernal in the 24th minute of the match. In the 26th minute of the match Piquirenda FC got a corner. Villa Mitre's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. In the 37th match minute, Villa Mitre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romulo Pelayo to maneuver through the defense. In the 42nd minute, Eugenio Bernal made a precise shot to the right of Virgilio Sotil. Villa Mitre's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. After 44 played minutes Piquirenda FC got a freekick which was hit by Eugenio Bernal. In the 45th minute of the match Victoriano Chabier sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Didi Papardelas skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of Villa Mitre booed when Piquirenda FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jilian Oosters didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

Jonas Beltxe's late challenge caught a Piquirenda FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonas Beltxe helped the player get up and apologised. In the 66th minute, Eugenio Bernal reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Virgilio Sotil. The goal made the score 1-6. Piquirenda FC's Haroldo Vidal was substituted for Filiberto Indartsu. Eugenio Bernal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Virgilio Sotil read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Eugenio Bernal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Virgilio Sotil. Villa Mitre's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eugenio Bernal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-7. After 93 minutes Villa Mitre's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Roberto Iratze who took care of the corner kick. The Villa Mitre fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Piquirenda FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
