The crowd rose to their feet as Narciso Vargas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mauricio Tabor. That made the score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. In the 9th minute, Bernardino Ofelio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Laurita FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Ramiro Aimar made in the 12th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Adolfo Silbestre immediately put the ball in play. Ramiro Aimar kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mario Alberto Kempes got free with Mauricio Tabor in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mario Alberto Kempes struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Mauricio Tabor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Laurita FC. After some careless play in the C.A.Esparta defense, Bernardino Ofelio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mauricio Tabor. The C.A.Esparta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mauricio Tabor should have stopped the shot. C.A.Esparta's Mauricio Tabor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mario Alberto Kempes in the 27th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardino Ofelio in the 29th minute of play forced C.A.Esparta's goalkeeper Mauricio Tabor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes had been played when some careless play by C.A.Esparta's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Csaba Szénási was slow to take the kick. During this time Laurita FC's players had a chance to rest. The crowd rose to their feet as Bernardino Ofelio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mauricio Tabor. That made the score 4-0 in the 32 minute of play. Mario Alberto Kempes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mauricio Tabor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Laurita FC's Mario Alberto Kempes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mauricio Tabor. Mauricio Tabor yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 6-0. Arnulfo Kinsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adolfo Silbestre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mauricio Tabor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardino Ofelio in the 45th minute of the match. With a little luck, C.A.Esparta's Mauricio Tabor got control of the ball when Mario Alberto Kempes tried to sneak it across the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lino Arnau stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mauricio Tabor stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mario Alberto Kempes's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. 56 minutes into the match, C.A.Esparta's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Alberto Kempes came free, but Mauricio Tabor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute, Agustin Opilano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 60 minutes into the match, Laurita FC's Csaba Szénási broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 62nd minute, Mario Alberto Kempes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mauricio Tabor was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. Laurita FC made a substitution. Šair Lupin replaced Mario Alberto Kempes. When Laurita FC's Šair Lupin in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye C.A.Esparta's goalie prevented a goal. Mauricio Tabor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Šair Lupin in the 68th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Šair Lupin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mauricio Tabor was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Arnulfo Kinsen made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Adolfo Silbestre sent off a good shot on target. 76 minutes into the game, Laurita FC's Šair Lupin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mauricio Tabor made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. Hélder Fernandez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of C.A.Esparta booed when Laurita FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Šair Lupin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mauricio Tabor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardino Ofelio in the 90th minute of the match. 95 minutes into the match, Laurita FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lino Arnau came free, but Arnulfo Kinsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There was no doubt that Laurita FC were the better team. Laurita FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
