The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 21st minute of the match Gilberto Ihazintu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Juan Giraldo skillfully saved the ball. In the 22nd minute El Gallo de Moron were awarded a corner. Gilberto Ihazintu went to the cornerflag to take it. A collision led to El Gallo de Moron getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Teofilo Garrote hit a great ball. In the 25th minute of the match Natalio Benet shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nacho Gonzalez showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A throw-in in the 27th minute of the game was made by Anselmo Pitin with Natalio Benet as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 30 minutes into the match, El Gallo de Moron's goalkeeper Nacho Gonzalez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ruben Abastas. After 31 minutes El Gallo de Moron's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Omar Santo who took care of the corner kick. The supporters of Forever Tango booed when El Gallo de Moron was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leigh Trusswell didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute of the match Omar Santo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nacho Gonzalez showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Anselmo Pitin made in the 37th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Ruben Abastas immediately put the ball in play. 40 minutes into the match, El Gallo de Moron's Luisinho Laguna sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juan Giraldo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 61st of the match, Teofilo Garrote tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Juan Giraldo got in the way and made a wonderful save. After 64 played minutes Forever Tango got a freekick which was hit by Natalio Benet. When Marcial Uzuri fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Forever Tango's protests and gave Marcial Uzuri a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Forever Tango getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Marcial Uzuri hit a great ball. Forever Tango's Juan Giraldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Quin in the 75th minute of play. When Marcial Uzuri came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Forever Tango fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcial Uzuri couldn't finish the play. In the 79th minute, El Gallo de Moron's Teofilo Garrote dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. 84 minutes had been played when some careless play by Forever Tango's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gilberto Ihazintu was slow to take the kick. During this time El Gallo de Moron's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Forever Tango's goalie and right to Vasile Neicu. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Forever Tango's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 86th minute Luisito Senio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nacho Gonzalez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. El Gallo de Moron's Pierre Le Saint was substituted for Luisinho Laguna. Omar Santo got a throw-in 89 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Luisito Senio. Pierre Le Saint received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Juan Giraldo came out and tried to block the shot, but Pierre Le Saint slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 91st minute. After a rather tough play, Forever Tango's Omar Santo got a free kick in the 95th minute. Jimeno Mikolas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. El Gallo de Moron's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
