The audience thought a goal was coming when Filomeno Remir got free with Elias Rozarius in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by Unión De Santa Fe's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Nereo Osasun was slow to take the kick. During this time Manfredi AFC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Manfredi AFC's corner Nereo Osasun fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Elias Rozarius quite easily take care of the ball. Manfredi AFC's Cristobal Guillelmo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Gafur Salim, made in the 87th minute of the game. If Son Banana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Unión De Santa Fe's Kostas Skilitsis got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Elias Rozarius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ladislao Mannie in the 95th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Unión De Santa Fe players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Manfredi AFC.
