In the 10th minute, Arturo Ranolfo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 11th minute Ladislao Tximitx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ask Stamnes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Boulogne F.C. getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Baltasar George hit a great ball. Arturo Ranolfo might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ask Stamnes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arturo Ranolfo ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arturo Ranolfo in the 25th minute of play forced Boulogne F.C.'s goalkeeper Ask Stamnes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Boulogne F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ladislao Tximitx came free, but Ask Stamnes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Boulogne F.C.'s Yao Guang Chao threw himself towards the right post 30 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Donato Trentini, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 37th match minute, Yaji FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudio Suarez to maneuver through the defense. If Ladislao Tximitx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arturo Ranolfo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Yao Guang Chao didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Donato Trentini went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. After 56 played minutes Yaji FC got a freekick which was hit by Abelardo Rosio. After a rather tough play, Yaji FC's Claudio Suarez got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 62nd minute Donato Trentini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yao Guang Chao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 63 minutes had been played when some careless play by Yaji FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Arturo Ranolfo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ask Stamnes having to make a save. Yaji FC made a substitution. Boulogne F.C.'s Ask Stamnes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Boulogne F.C. from getting a goal against them. Donato Trentini took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yao Guang Chao. Yao Guang Chao dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. After 87 played minutes Yaji FC got a freekick which was hit by Ladislao Tximitx. Boulogne F.C.'s Ask Stamnes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kryspin Ziemba in the 89th minute of play. 94 minutes into the game, Mario Thomas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Boulogne F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yaji FC the free kick. After 94 played minutes Boulogne F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Mario Thomas. Kryspin Ziemba in the 95thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ask Stamnes, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Boulogne F.C. walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
