Emilio Bazkoare stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lautaro Martinez's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Emilio Bazkoare showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lionel Messi, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 41st minute La Scaloneta were awarded a corner. Lionel Messi went to the cornerflag to take it. After 44th play minutes Lion Messi shot 1-3, a short shot which went by Emilio Bazkoare and just under the crossbar into goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

With a left leg Dibag Martinez saved La Scaloneta from getting behind. When Korneliusz Basinski came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Regresado fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Korneliusz Basinski couldn't finish the play. Emilio Bazkoare made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Martinez in the 94th minute. Brian Foretic received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute.
