Lyons's Austin Muller quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 18th minute, Joel Gamus made a precise shot to the right of Luisito Quinten. Lyons's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 21 minutes into the match, Lyons's goal looked a bit too open when Víktor Magalhães came free, but Luisito Quinten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Boleslaw Zielinski in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zoran Simović prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Victoriano Iratzeder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Luisito Quinten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 17 de enero team's Joel Gamus managed to work through Lyons's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Joel Gamus dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Víktor Magalhães in the 43rd minute of play forced Lyons's goalkeeper Luisito Quinten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Michel Salgado made in the 45th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by 叶默崇. After the first half 17 de enero team were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Boleslaw Zielinski to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 59th minute, Victoriano Iratzeder left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The 17 de enero team fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in 17 de enero team's zone, Boleslaw Zielinski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zoran Simović came out of the goal and Boleslaw Zielinski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lyons made a substitution. Dariusz Roano replaced Boleslaw Zielinski. After 80 played minutes 17 de enero team got a freekick which was hit by 叶默崇. Zoran Simović showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dariusz Roano, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Lyons's Cesar Remigio was substituted for Wambasther Piqué. In the 85th minute, Joel Gamus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lyons's Dariusz Roano got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded 17 de enero team left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Lyons.
