The audience thought a goal was coming when Ovidio Favila got free with Bennvar Buffon in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thibaut Courtois showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabian Urdaspal in the 40th minute of the match. ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰'s Enrique Henrico managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Esteve Mikelats in the 44 minute of the game. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ovidio Favila in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bennvar Buffon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bennvar Buffon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Tonete, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Bennvar Buffon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kent Stenman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 89th minute, Javier Bordat hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 94 minutes into the match, ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰'s Fabian Urdaspal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thibaut Courtois narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
