In the 47th minute, River Plate ® 9-12's Muhammet Ökten ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Thibaut Courtois. Thibaut Courtois yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. GUSESI's Lisandro Ceandro was substituted for Carmelo Sanduru. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Rigoberto Bihar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ovidio Favila in the 55th minute of the match. Muhammet Ökten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 58th minute Muhammet Ökten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thibaut Courtois saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thibaut Courtois showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jimeno Jimeno, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Piti Bernabéu during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. River Plate ® 9-12's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
