Laurids Baylund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesar Teofilio, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Egemen Özbek was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 22 minutes into the match. Arne Bronco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laurids Baylund having to interfere. After 31 played minutes DESTROY got a freekick which was hit by Santos Borre. Santos Borres short, quick shot in the 35thth minute got Roque Narvaja to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 37 minutes into the match, Deportivo Mandiyu's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Maradona came free, but Roque Narvaja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Mandiyu's Arne Bronco got a free kick in the 38th minute. Roque Narvaja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Söderlund in the 41st minute of play. Roque Narvaja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Maradona, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After the first half Deportivo Mandiyu were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cesar Teofilio to strike the kick off in the second half. After 73 minutes DESTROY's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Roberto 吴勇 who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of DESTROY's goalie and right to Chiquito Benítez. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. DESTROY's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Laurids Baylund stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Fernando Cardoso's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Chiquito Benítez took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Laurids Baylund to make any attempt to save it. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind DESTROY's goalkeeper Laurids Baylund, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Chiquito Benítez received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Laurids Baylund came out and tried to block the shot, but Chiquito Benítez slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 89th minute. Chiquito Benítez scored 0-4 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Laurids Baylund, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 94 minutes into the match, Deportivo Mandiyu's goal looked a bit too open when Per-Erik Vesterberg came free, but Roque Narvaja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute of the match DESTROY got a corner. Deportivo Mandiyu's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Evaristo Macerio ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Evaristo Macerio almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Deportivo Mandiyu's Roque Narvaja did a great save. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Deportivo Mandiyu had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
