Deportivo Mandiyu's Cesar Teofilio got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Deportivo Mandiyu's Roque Narvaja got control of the ball when Lautaro Martínez Gullotta tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cesar Teofilio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Martínez Gullotta got free with Roque Narvaja in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Deportivo Mandiyu's Roque Narvaja proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Mandiyu from getting a goal against them. 14 minutes into the match, Amapola's goal looked a bit too open when Cesar Teofilio came free, but Hugo Orlando Gatti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Deportivo Mandiyu's Cesar Teofilio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hugo Orlando Gatti narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Roque Narvaja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camilo Segio in the 18th minute of play. Roque Narvaja took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ubaldo Uzuri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Deportivo Mandiyu's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Roberto 吴勇 in the 27th minute. The corner ended in Rayan MacQueen almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Amapola's Hugo Orlando Gatti did a great save. In the 33rd match minute, Amapola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baraquiel Brunati to maneuver through the defense. Hugo Orlando Gatti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesar Teofilio, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After 40 minutes Deportivo Mandiyu's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Javi Pinola who took care of the corner kick. In the 41st minute, Alejo Bermudo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Amapola's goalkeeper Hugo Orlando Gatti, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Klement Lech fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Mandiyu's protests and gave Klement Lech a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Mandiyu's Klement Lech got a free kick in the 45th minute. In the 47th minute Camilo Segio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roque Narvaja saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Deportivo Mandiyu were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cesar Teofilio made a kick off. Cesar Teofilio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hugo Orlando Gatti read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. After having played for 59 minutes, Cesar Teofilio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Mandiyu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cesar Teofilio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 61 minutes into the match, Amapola's goal looked a bit too open when Cesar Teofilio came free, but Hugo Orlando Gatti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roque Narvaja showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ubaldo Uzuri in the 63rd minute of the match. Deportivo Mandiyu's Carlos Fernando Cardoso was substituted for Arne Bronco. After 68 played minutes Amapola got a freekick which was hit by Clemente Faron. Hugo Orlando Gatti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chiquito Benítez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chiquito Benítez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Hugo Orlando Gatti made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Amapola's Ramon Montrell got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Ramon Montrell kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Ubaldo Uzuri scored 1-2 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roque Narvaja, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hugo Orlando Gatti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chiquito Benítez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amapola's Hugo Orlando Gatti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chiquito Benítez in the 94th minute of play. In the 95th match minute, Deportivo Mandiyu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Klement Lech to maneuver through the defense. Chants of Deportivo Mandiyu echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Amapola had held the ball for most of the match.
