Victoriano Eate showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ubaldo Uzuri, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Hugo Orlando Gatti made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Duran Hunalp sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Cabezones's Serafino Blasco got a free kick in the 31st minute. Victoriano Eate stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ubaldo Uzuri's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Braulio Tome in the 36th minute of play forced Amapola's goalkeeper Hugo Orlando Gatti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd match minute, Cabezones was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erasmo Panfilo to maneuver through the defense. Javi Pinola took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 45th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Victoriano Eate. Cabezones's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 48th minute of the match Amapola got a corner. Cabezones's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Javi Pinola ran over to the corner to take the kick. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ubaldo Uzuri stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes in the game, Ubaldo Uzuri fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Victoriano Eate having to interfere. Victoriano Eate took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ubaldo Uzuri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Ciriaco Bermudez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Amapola's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciriaco Bermudez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victoriano Eate breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Victoriano Eate was a little too slow when Lautaro Martínez Gullotta got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 59th minute. The score was now 0-1. When Duran Hunalp came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Cabezones fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Duran Hunalp couldn't finish the play. 67 minutes into the match, Amapola's goal looked a bit too open when Duran Hunalp came free, but Hugo Orlando Gatti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 68 minutes into the game, Lautaro Martínez Gullotta recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Victoriano Eate. Lautaro Martínez Gullotta showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Serafino Blasco took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hugo Orlando Gatti. Hugo Orlando Gatti dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 75th minute, Ubaldo Uzuri reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Victoriano Eate. The goal made the score 1-3. Hugo Orlando Gatti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Braulio Tome in the 80th minute of the match. Duran Hunalp's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hugo Orlando Gatti read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. When Javi Pinola fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Amapola's protests and gave Javi Pinola a yellow card for diving instead. Cabezones's Duran Hunalp got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Victoriano Eate took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ubaldo Uzuri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fidel Froila struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Victoriano Eate didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Amapola. Ubaldo Uzuri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Victoriano Eate tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Victoriano Eate showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ubaldo Uzuri, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Amapola eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
