In the 15th minute of the match excursio fc got a corner. Resistencia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Iwan Cupial ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Iwan Cupial got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gaetano Mathieu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Eskil Stenkvist's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Gaetano Mathieu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. excursio fc's Feliciano Manrique played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Bakker in the 19th minute of play. Feliciano Manrique showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddy Sabin, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Zekeriya Tongar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eskil Stenkvist in the 35th managed to get into a good position. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Freddy Sabin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Resistencia's Gaetano Mathieu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eskil Stenkvist in the 51st minute of play. Eskil Stenkvist ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 69th minute, Freddy Sabin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Feliciano Manrique was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Resistencia's Domingos Isusko managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Zacarias Rik in the 73 minute of the game. Eskil Stenkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Gaetano Mathieu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Hugo Bakker kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Feliciano Manrique. That made the score 1-2 in the 88 minute of play. Eskil Stenkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaetano Mathieu having to interfere. The excursio fc supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Resistencia's performance. The match ended with a win for Resistencia.
