In the 7thth minute of the game Julio Poncio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fcion C.A.'s Olgierd Walczak was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luciano Mouricio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olgierd Walczak having to interfere. Esben Nordborg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Gündüz Yalavaç in the 15th minute of play forced Gimnasia y tiro's goalkeeper Wieslaw Panasewicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wieslaw Panasewicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rikard Moberg in the 16th minute of the match. Ovidio Eliu got a throw-in 21 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Benjamim Rollheiser. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fcion C.A.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Esben Nordborg was slow to take the kick. During this time Gimnasia y tiro's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Gimnasia y tiro's Julio Poncio to fire away a dangerous shot which Olgierd Walczak despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 34th match minute, Gimnasia y tiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ariel Valiente to maneuver through the defense. Wieslaw Panasewicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Gündüz Yalavaç in the 35th minute of the match. Gimnasia y tiro's Endre Szentes pulled a muscle in his leg after 37 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Pancho Saa hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Julio Poncios short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Olgierd Walczak to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Rikard Moberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Reynaldo Montrelle to strike the kick off in the second half. Reynaldo Montrelle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wieslaw Panasewicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Muñoz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ignacio Guillelme could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Wieslaw Panasewicz made a huge save. 89 minutes into the match, Gimnasia y tiro's goal looked a bit too open when David Muñoz came free, but Wieslaw Panasewicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reynaldo Montrelle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
