With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luciano Jerano in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guaberto Cucao saved Mainumby from getting behind. Cornelio Merexildo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ladislao Serafo in the 34th minute of the match. If Ildefonso Balesio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luciano Jerano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mainumby's Guaberto Cucao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lorenzo Lluterio in the 44th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luciano Jerano made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Defensores del Albinegro's goal looked a bit too open when Lázaro Chap came free, but Cornelio Merexildo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cornelio Merexildo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lázaro Chap, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute.
