Patay Juniors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético Zelaya the free kick. After 8 played minutes Patay Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Leo Chesus. Santiago Gaizko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgard Ledesma, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Santiago Gaizko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prospero Petri in the 14th minute of play. Patay Juniors's defense didn't have a chance, in the 16th minute, when Roman Riquelme scored to the left of an out of position Cayetano Francho, making the score, 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roman Riquelme got free with Cayetano Francho in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Santiago Gaizko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leo Chesus in the 19th minute of the match. With a little luck, Patay Juniors's Cayetano Francho got control of the ball when Jacobo Abechuco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Roman Riquelme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cayetano Francho having to interfere. Atlético Zelaya's Santiago Gaizko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgard Ledesma in the 28th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Roman Riquelme left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atlético Zelaya fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After 35 played minutes Patay Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Ceferino Monte. Cayetano Francho made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Astor Giampietro sent off a good shot on target. Santiago Gaizko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ceferino Monte, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Atlético Zelaya's Santiago Gaizko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prospero Petri in the 43rd minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Cayetano Francho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacobo Abechuco in the 51st minute of play. A hard shot 56 in the game by Prospero Petri from a close distance when the talented Santiago Gaizko managed to make a qualified save. Atlético Zelaya's players were relieved. Santiago Gaizko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgard Ledesma, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th match minute, Patay Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florentino Egoi to maneuver through the defense. Prospero Petri who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 69thth minute tested the skills of Santiago Gaizko when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a little luck, Atlético Zelaya's Santiago Gaizko got control of the ball when Prospero Petri tried to sneak it across the goal line. Patay Juniors's Ceferino Monte got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Santiago Gaizko made an important save on a dangerous shot by Prospero Petri in the 76th minute. 77 minutes into the match, Atlético Zelaya's goal looked a bit too open when Ceferino Monte came free, but Santiago Gaizko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Prospero Petri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Santiago Gaizko made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ceferino Monte in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Santiago Gaizko prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 87th minute of the game. One of Patay Juniors:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Atlético Zelaya:s goal. Patay Juniors:s Cayetano Francho showed great skill when he stopped Astor Giampietro:s penalty. Santiago Gaizko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ceferino Monte in the 91st minute of play. Cayetano Francho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roman Riquelme in the 92nd minute of play. Cayetano Francho came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético Zelaya's Roman Riquelme. But to his dismay, Roman Riquelme quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 96th minute, Patay Juniors's Ceferino Monte dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. When the referee blew the final whistle, Atlético Zelaya could leave the field as winners, despite Patay Juniors having more of the ball for most of the match.
