After some careless play in the Vaqueteros FC defense, Andrzej Badanowski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Javier Tono. The Vaqueteros FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Javier Tono should have stopped the shot. The referee showed Venancio Victoro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 46th minute, Venancio Victoro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Talleres's Sergiu Bulencea was substituted for Lukita Modrić. If Andrzej Badanowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vaqueteros FC's Gustavo Blai managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Sergiu Bulencea in the 66 minute of the game. In the 72nd minute of the match Talleres got a corner. Vaqueteros FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jorge Martínez ran over to the corner to take the kick. After having played for 77 minutes, Andrzej Badanowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Talleres's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andrzej Badanowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
