In the 20th match minute, Boca Jr. FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cecilio Lando to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Perico Pérez got free with 石翔晨 in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Boca Jr. FC's 石翔晨 got control of the ball when Jorge Martínez tried to sneak it across the goal line. With his leg 石翔晨 managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when Talleres's Peker Durusoy fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 31 minutes into the match, Talleres's Alfredo Tab sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that 石翔晨 narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jorge Martínez's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but 石翔晨 firmly grabbed it by the left post. Peker Durusoy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but 石翔晨 made a huge save. 石翔晨 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauricio Manuelo, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 39 minutes into the game, when Alfonso Kauldi put in a rough tackle. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Talleres made a substitution. Izydor Bugajski replaced Perico Pérez. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mauricio Manuelo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Tab in the 52nd minute of play forced Boca Jr. FC's goalkeeper 石翔晨 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th minute Mauricio Manuelo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 石翔晨 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Talleres fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfredo Tab in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck 石翔晨 prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Boca Jr. FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Josef Tunberg couldn't finish the play. There was no doubt that Talleres were the better team. Talleres's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
