Renato Portalupi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adan Lartaun having to interfere. Lucas Nataniel hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Codruț Domuță in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adan Lartaun saved Quilmes from getting behind. Adan Lartaun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torrey Molloy in the 25th minute of the match. Brujas KV's Torrey Molloy got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Codruț Domuță scored 2-1 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Adan Lartaun, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dionisio Laurendi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Petruț Dicu made a huge save. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by Brujas KV's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Lucas Nataniel was slow to take the kick. During this time Quilmes's players had a chance to rest. In the 47th minute Lucas Nataniel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petruț Dicu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
