Joel Delfino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ridouane Palermo in the 11th minute of the match. If Steve Hodge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 17 minutes into the match, Hans Otterlei notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Muten's Asmund Marchorst. Asmund Marchorst was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hans Otterlei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Asmund Marchorst tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Asmund Marchorst took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans Otterlei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Asmund Marchorst showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hans Otterlei, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. When Muten's Ridouane Palermo in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Hilario Iruinea hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Asmund Marchorst stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hans Otterlei's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. La Cosa Nostra's Joel Delfino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save La Cosa Nostra from getting a goal against them. Asmund Marchorst made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hans Otterlei in the 61st minute of play. Prospero Orlan charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Prospero Orlan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Muten's Prospero Orlan got a free kick in the 66th minute. La Cosa Nostra's Marciano Bizen was substituted for Hans Otterlei. In the 68th match minute, Muten was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Prospero Orlan to maneuver through the defense. Hilario Iruinea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Joel Delfino made a huge save. After 87 played minutes Muten got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Chago. 88 minutes into the game, La Cosa Nostra's Marciano Bizen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Asmund Marchorst made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Muten's Asmund Marchorst played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaw Ludzia in the 91st minute of play. A collision led to La Cosa Nostra getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Steve Hodge hit a great ball. Muten's Prospero Orlan shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 95th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Joel Delfino but with some difficulty. Muten's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
