Rigoberto Nazario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saverio Brion in the 7th minute of play. Rigoberto Nazario took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santiago Abreu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Argentinos Juniors's Rigoberto Nazario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santiago Abreu in the 24th minute of play. When Leon Richie fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Argentinos Juniors's protests and gave Leon Richie a yellow card for diving instead. Leon Richie hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Sven de Zwaan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Bennvar Noobel made a huge save. Rigoberto Nazario showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saverio Brion, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Rigoberto Nazario showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santiago Abreu in the 34th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santiago Abreu in the 36th minute of play forced Argentinos Juniors's goalkeeper Rigoberto Nazario to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rigoberto Nazario came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Celestiales's Santiago Abreu. But to his dismay, Santiago Abreu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 47 minutes into the match, Celestiales's goal looked a bit too open when Sven de Zwaan came free, but Bennvar Noobel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Argentinos Juniors's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Justo Elequemedo in the 50th minute. The corner led Argentinos Juniors's Justo Elequemedo to fire away a dangerous shot which Bennvar Noobel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sven de Zwaan made a kick off. Bennvar Noobel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Wilson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
