The audience thought a goal was coming when Yu Guang Chen got free with Mickael Wuyts in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 11th minute of the match Barreal FC got a corner. Bahía é Carnaval's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jairo Eneko ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Barreal FC's corner Jairo Eneko fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mickael Wuyts quite easily take care of the ball. Yu Guang Chen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Mickael Wuyts made a huge save. 21 minutes into the match, Yu Guang Chen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mickael Wuyts. Bahía é Carnaval's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yu Guang Chen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 25th minute Yu Guang Chen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mickael Wuyts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yu Guang Chen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Mickael Wuyts made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Rosio in the 29th minute of play forced Barreal FC's goalkeeper Dário Tepedino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ben-Ami Gol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yu Guang Chen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Mickael Wuyts made a huge save. Mickael Wuyts came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Barreal FC's Ben-Ami Gol. But to his dismay, Ben-Ami Gol quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Mickael Wuyts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ben-Ami Gol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by Barreal FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Erubiel Gaitan was slow to take the kick. During this time Bahía é Carnaval's players had a chance to rest. Romeo Blăniță lost his temper 42 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 41 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Barreal FC! Yu Guang Chen struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Mickael Wuyts didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barreal FC. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yu Guang Chen to make the kick off. Mickael Wuyts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yu Guang Chen in the 50th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Yu Guang Chen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mickael Wuyts was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. The Barreal FC fans' excitement grew in the 52nd match minute when Barreal FC's Yu Guang Chen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Despite this Mickael Wuyts quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Bahía é Carnaval's Mickael Wuyts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adelino Corrêa in the 58th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Bahía é Carnaval's goal looked a bit too open when Yu Guang Chen came free, but Mickael Wuyts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yu Guang Chen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mickael Wuyts having to interfere. Mickael Wuyts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yu Guang Chen in the 66th minute of play. Mickael Wuyts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yu Guang Chen in the 70th minute of the match. Barreal FC were awarded a corner in the 72th minute after Bahía é Carnaval's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jairo Eneko took the corner. Mickael Wuyts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yu Guang Chen in the 77th minute of play. Mickael Wuyts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yu Guang Chen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bahía é Carnaval's Desiderio Demario was substituted for Vinicio Florin.
