After having played for 17 minutes, Ubaldo Veto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Martin de Tucuman's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ubaldo Veto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. San Martin de Tucuman's Cecilio Jax played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peng Xiong in the 20th minute of play. Crottos Crotters F.C.'s Freddy Mercurio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartolo Harkaitz in the 21st minute of play. The referee ignored San Martin de Tucuman's protests and gave Paulino Lamberto a yellow card for diving instead. After 44 played minutes San Martin de Tucuman got a freekick which was hit by Paulino Lamberto. Cecilio Jax showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peng Xiong in the 46th minute of the match. Crottos Crotters F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Szilveszter Puja in the 47th minute. A nice corner shot did that Szilveszter Puja got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cecilio Jax quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcial Munio was the one to do the kick off. Freddy Mercurio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulino Lamberto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Crottos Crotters F.C.'s Peng Xiong got a free kick in the 54th minute. Freddy Mercurio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcial Munio in the 54th minute of the match. In the 56th minute Adilson Breckenfeld shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cecilio Jax saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcial Munio struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Freddy Mercurio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for San Martin de Tucuman. Crottos Crotters F.C.'s Gerardo Gartzea was substituted for Wieslaw Zarobski. Freddy Mercurio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcial Munio in the 73rd minute of play. The supporters of Crottos Crotters F.C. booed when San Martin de Tucuman was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cecilio Urbez didn't get a good kick on the ball. San Martin de Tucuman's Hector Gizon was substituted for Marcial Munio. Freddy Mercurio came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by San Martin de Tucuman's Hector Gizon. But to his dismay, Hector Gizon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After some careless play in the Crottos Crotters F.C. defense, Hector Gizon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Freddy Mercurio. The Crottos Crotters F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Freddy Mercurio should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Szilveszter Puja during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Crottos Crotters F.C.'s Szilveszter Puja got a free kick in the 87th minute. After having played for 88 minutes, Hector Gizon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Martin de Tucuman's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hector Gizon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Crottos Crotters F.C. getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Leonel Messi hit a great ball. Freddy Mercurio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector Gizon in the 91st minute of play. Hector Gizon might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Freddy Mercurio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hector Gizon ran back to his position shaking his head. Freddy Mercurio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector Gizon in the 92nd minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Crottos Crotters F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Severino Elorri came free, but Freddy Mercurio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Crottos Crotters F.C. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for San Martin de Tucuman.
