The crowd rose to their feet as Martins Palermo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Freddy Mercurio. That made the score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. Freddy Mercurio was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Martins Palermo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 16 minute of play. After 19 played minutes Crottos Crotters F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Froilan Paublo. After a rather tough play, Crottos Crotters F.C.'s Froilan Paublo got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Crottos Crotters F.C.'s goalkeeper Freddy Mercurio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Crottos Crotters F.C.'s Freddy Mercurio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Crottos Crotters F.C. from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Crottos Crotters F.C.'s Freddy Mercurio got control of the ball when Martins Palermo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Martins Palermo got free with Freddy Mercurio in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 38thth minute of the game Martins Palermo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Crottos Crotters F.C.'s Freddy Mercurio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Martins Palermo notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Crottos Crotters F.C.'s Freddy Mercurio. Freddy Mercurio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gerardo Gartzea kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. 48 minutes into the match, Fecha Libre's goal looked a bit too open when Peng Xiong came free, but Emiliano Martínez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Martins Palermo to make the kick off. Emiliano Martínez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Peng Xiong in the 51st minute. Adilson Breckenfeld kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the game, Fecha Libre's Martins Palermo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Freddy Mercurio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. After a rather tough play, Fecha Libre's Gavino Hodei got a free kick in the 66th minute. Igli Tare blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Freddy Mercurio having to make a save. In the 80th minute Igli Tare shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddy Mercurio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonel Messi during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fecha Libre made a substitution. Ale Garna replaced Gavino Hodei. Leonel Messi hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Crottos Crotters F.C.'s Freddy Mercurio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igli Tare in the 87th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Igli Tare's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Freddy Mercurio was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Igli Tare in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Freddy Mercurio saved Crottos Crotters F.C. from getting behind. In the 96th minute, Igli Tare left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fecha Libre fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. Fecha Libre walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
