San Martin de Tucuman's defense didn't have a chance, in the 4th minute, when Freddy Amato scored to the left of an out of position Cecilio Jax, making the score, 1-0. 9 minutes into the match, Plaza Jewell's goal looked a bit too open when Luciano Selmo came free, but Pablo Mei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pablo Mei came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by San Martin de Tucuman's Marcial Munio. But to his dismay, Marcial Munio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 18th minute Freddy Amato shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cecilio Jax saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pablo Mei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcial Munio in the 19th minute of the match. In the 20th minute Paulino Lamberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pablo Mei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Zabal Ubeda got free in front of the goal in the 21st minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Plaza Jewell's Fabio Cresconio managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Anastasio Amesti in the 39 minute of the game. After 44 played minutes Plaza Jewell got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Igon. 47 minutes into the match, Plaza Jewell's goal looked a bit too open when Marcial Munio came free, but Pablo Mei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The corner ended in Anastasio Amesti almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Plaza Jewell's Pablo Mei did a great save. Plaza Jewell's Pablo Mei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulino Lamberto in the 54th minute of play. In the 55thth minute of the game Paulino Lamberto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Plaza Jewell's Pablo Mei was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pablo Mei made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Marcial Munio sent off a good shot on target. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cecilio Jax prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pablo Mei made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Marcial Munio sent off a good shot on target. 67 minutes into the match, Plaza Jewell's goalkeeper Pablo Mei had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcial Munio. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulino Lamberto in the 68th minute of play forced Plaza Jewell's goalkeeper Pablo Mei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th play minute Paulino Lamberto came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Pablo Mei. 1-2. Pablo Mei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcial Munio, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Marcial Munio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pablo Mei made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcial Munio in the 82nd minute. In the 85th minute Freddy Amato shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cecilio Jax saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Marcial Munio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. San Martin de Tucuman made a substitution. Eugenio Orland replaced Luciano Selmo. San Martin de Tucuman played a much better game than Plaza Jewell and deserved their victory. The Plaza Jewell players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
