The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Waitakere F.C. booed when Hortensia FCG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celso Sancho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Piara Santo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcial Mingo having to make a save. Marcial Mingo didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Waitakere F.C.'s Piara Santo shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Hortensia FCG's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Piara Santo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. In the 34th minute, Piara Santo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Waitakere F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-8. Arnulfo Hulberto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Marcos Burni made a huge save. After 38 minutes Waitakere F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Esteban Raebert who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Esteban Raebert almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Waitakere F.C.'s Marcos Burni did a great save. Waitakere F.C.'s Che Kasten managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Domingos Urdin in the 40 minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Marius Gherghe took a quick shot and it went in 0-12 without a chance for Marcial Mingo to make any attempt to save it. After 75 played minutes Nacho Scocco rounded Hortensia FCG's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-13. In the 77th minute, Marius Gherghe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nacho Scocco in the 79th minute of play forced Hortensia FCG's goalkeeper Marcial Mingo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcial Mingo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nacho Scocco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Waitakere F.C.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
