Berutti FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 47th minute, Sebastian Lobo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Aurelio Astudillo. The goal made the score 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

After 52 minutes, Edelmiro Cheche mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Berutti FC and the San Lorenzo 11 players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of San Lorenzo 11 booed when Berutti FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edelmiro Cheche didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th minute, Martin Betadur fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Bruno Macario, passed just outside the right post. In the 96th match minute, Berutti FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filomeno Ulizes to maneuver through the defense.
