The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Igor Lebas to make the kick off. After 69 played minutes KaoS Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Igor Lebas. Metal Juniors's Martín Palermo was substituted for Sergio Dennis. Igor Lebas hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 72nd minute Nicolas Napier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pierluigi Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute, Igor Lebas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 84th minute by Igor Lebas got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 87 minutes, Nicolas Napier made it 2-4 with a short kick to the right side. KaoS Futbol Club's Pierluigi Buffon tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 90 minutes into the match, Metal Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Lebas came free, but Francisco Nesor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Metal Juniors's Martín Palermo got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Leopoldo Itzaina fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Metal Juniors's protests and gave Leopoldo Itzaina a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Metal Juniors getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Leopoldo Itzaina hit a great ball.
