The audience was convinced that Tiago Gabriel Carvalho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anibal Cambiasso was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. In the 14th minute Andres Cambiasso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caupolicán Damjan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, CF Scalonetos's Ramon Gil got a free kick in the 15th minute. When Joaquin Cambiasso came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the BAIRES fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joaquin Cambiasso couldn't finish the play. If Tiago Gabriel Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. BAIRES's Anibal Cambiasso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiago Gabriel Carvalho in the 24th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, BAIRES's goalkeeper Anibal Cambiasso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tiago Gabriel Carvalho. Caupolicán Damjan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquin Cambiasso in the 36th minute of the match. In the 37th minute of the match BAIRES got a corner. CF Scalonetos's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gabriel Duarte ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Gabriel Duarte got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Caupolicán Damjan quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Caupolicán Damjan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andres Cambiasso in the 42nd minute of the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tiago Gabriel Carvalho to make the kick off. Genaro Cambiasso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 66th play minutes Andres Cambiasso shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Caupolicán Damjan and just under the crossbar into goal. Caupolicán Damjan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Genaro Cambiasso in the 71st minute of play. Gabriel Duarte charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gabriel Duarte the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. CF Scalonetos's Cleto Frechoso was substituted for Julio Lucero. A collision led to BAIRES getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Gabriel Duarte hit a great ball. The supporters of CF Scalonetos booed when BAIRES was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Duarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chants of BAIRES echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as CF Scalonetos had held the ball for most of the match.
