Filomeno Atarrabi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Santos Borré, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Patipan Fillol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saturnino Bastia in the 11th minute of the match. In the 13th minute Rafael Santos Borré shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filomeno Atarrabi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th match minute, Tristán Suárez FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Atilano George to maneuver through the defense. Saturnino Bastia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Patipan Fillol read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Rafael Santos Borré might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Filomeno Atarrabi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rafael Santos Borré ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 18th minute Rafael Santos Borré shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filomeno Atarrabi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the A.D Atlético Villa Gesell defense, Rafael Santos Borré kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Filomeno Atarrabi. The A.D Atlético Villa Gesell fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Filomeno Atarrabi should have stopped the shot. After 24 played minutes Tristán Suárez FC got a freekick which was hit by Atilano George. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Saturnino Bastia in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Patipan Fillol saved Tristán Suárez FC from getting behind. A collision led to A.D Atlético Villa Gesell getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Aureliano Hunfredo hit a great ball. Patipan Fillol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saturnino Bastia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rafael Santos Borré sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to A.D Atlético Villa Gesell getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Arnaldo Furlan hit a great ball. In the 41st minute, Rafael Santos Borré got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Saturnino Bastia managed to get in a good position for a shot. A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's supporters rose to their feet, but Saturnino Bastia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patipan Fillol breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rafael Santos Borré stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's Arnaldo Furlan quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Atilano George, made in the 61st minute of the game. A sloppy throw-in by Atilano George in the 65th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's Rollo Kildemose. Tristán Suárez FC's Amado Mikeldi was substituted for Bonifacio Loramendi. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Tristán Suárez FC's goalkeeper Patipan Fillol, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 82 minutes into the game, Luciano Calvet was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tristán Suárez FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A.D Atlético Villa Gesell the free kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the A.D Atlético Villa Gesell players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Tristán Suárez FC.
