Cornelio Asteri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonides Rosio, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Guansa's attentive Hector Terciero managed to snatch the ball when Robert Smith made a throw-in in the 41st minute of the game. After 43 minutes of play, San Lorenzo de Sarandi's Leonides Rosio made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cornelio Asteri was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leonides Rosio was the one to do the kick off. San Lorenzo de Sarandi's Delmar Ostadar was substituted for Leonides Rosio. San Lorenzo de Sarandi's Ceferino Cuervo was substituted for Ivan Errando. After a defensive mix-up in Guansa's zone, Delmar Ostadar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cornelio Asteri came out of the goal and Delmar Ostadar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Delmar Ostadar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Cornelio Asteri made a huge save. 77 minutes into the game, San Lorenzo de Sarandi's Ceferino Cuervo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cornelio Asteri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. After some careless play in the Guansa defense, Delmar Ostadar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cornelio Asteri. The Guansa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cornelio Asteri should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Guansa getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Hector Terciero hit a great ball. 92 minutes into the match, Ceferino Cuervo notched a goal, 0-10, to the right of Guansa's Cornelio Asteri. Cornelio Asteri was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Guansa fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. San Lorenzo de Sarandi were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
