The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Black Rose 1979's Karl-Johan Ahlqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dariusz Adamski in the 53rd minute of play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Centeno players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
