But to his dismay, Hồ Kyhn quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The audience was convinced that Feliciano Baumar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ruperto Maria was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. Scofield's Alvaro Valente played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Costin Duca in the 10th minute of play. Feliciano Baumar received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ruperto Maria came out and tried to block the shot, but Feliciano Baumar slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 21st minute. Alvaro Valente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pablo Martinez in the 25th minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Scofield's goal looked a bit too open when Pablo Martinez came free, but Alvaro Valente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute, Pablo Martinez made a precise shot to the right of Alvaro Valente. Scofield's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Ruperto Maria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feliciano Baumar in the 30th minute of play. Fernan Casado hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. 35 minutes into the match, Salmuera CP's Torcuato Herrero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alvaro Valente narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 39th minute of the match Scofield got a corner. Salmuera CP's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Roberto-Carlos Brasil ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Roberto-Carlos Brasil got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ruperto Maria quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Feliciano Baumar kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Feliciano Baumar made a kick off. When Roberto-Carlos Brasil fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Scofield's protests and gave Roberto-Carlos Brasil a yellow card for diving instead. Alvaro Valente showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Costin Duca in the 57th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, Costin Duca dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alvaro Valente, 1-3. Alvaro Valente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hồ Kyhn in the 66th minute of play. When the match was over Salmuera CP could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Scofield throughout the match.
