Ipro Demiga Fútbol Club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marco Bilbo ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Gabrio in the 12th minute of play forced Ipro Demiga Fútbol Club's goalkeeper Erik Pihlblad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erik Pihlblad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gianluca Vialli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marco Bilbo kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. If Andres Guerau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erik Pihlblad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gianluca Vialli, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Falckner FC's goalkeeper Loco De la Maza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andres Guerau. In the 43rd minute, Severino Gabrio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Falckner FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. When Falckner FC's Gianluca Vialli in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Erik Pihlblad came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Falckner FC's Alberto Edorta. But to his dismay, Alberto Edorta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. The supporters of Falckner FC booed when Ipro Demiga Fútbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dario Abella didn't get a good kick on the ball.
