Spams's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Adelino Saldanha in the 11th minute. Karem Eagles was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 22nd minute Adelino Saldanha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogelio Barbosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rogelio Barbosa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adelino Saldanha's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. In the 39th match minute, Los Diablos Rojos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abelardo Bortzaioriz to maneuver through the defense. Javier Jaunzuria kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Faustino Jerold made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximo Cloyo in the 47th minute of play. The Los Diablos Rojos players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Spams were winning 0-1.

Spams made a substitution. Godfredo Galtero replaced Saul Cordario. In the 55th minute Godfredo Galtero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogelio Barbosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56th minute, Vinícius Servaes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rogelio Barbosa. The goal made the score 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vinícius Servaes in the 58th minute of play forced Los Diablos Rojos's goalkeeper Rogelio Barbosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Los Diablos Rojos's Rogelio Barbosa got control of the ball when Vinícius Servaes tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 69th minute Doug Bermudez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Faustino Jerold saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Doug Bermudez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Raí Catarinense's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Faustino Jerold was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. 73 minutes into the match, Spams's Vinícius Servaes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rogelio Barbosa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 80 minutes of play, Spams's Vinícius Servaes made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rogelio Barbosa was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 83 minutes, Raí Catarinense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Diablos Rojos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raí Catarinense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Spams's Faustino Jerold played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximo Cloyo in the 85th minute of play. Vinícius Servaes might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rogelio Barbosa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vinícius Servaes ran back to his position shaking his head. 90 minutes into the match, Los Diablos Rojos's goal looked a bit too open when Vinícius Servaes came free, but Rogelio Barbosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Los Diablos Rojos booed when Spams was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. William Saliba didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Spams supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Spams would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
