Federico Aimar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Germán Burgos made a huge save. In the 18th minute Aristide Traianescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Germán Burgos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Germán Burgos made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Segundo Felo sent off a good shot on target. Germán Burgos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Federico Aimar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the match, Federico Aimar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Germán Burgos. U21 Totoras F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Federico Aimar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. With an all-out effort, Deuce Athletic Club's Germán Burgos threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Federico Aimar, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The supporters of U21 Totoras F.C. booed when Deuce Athletic Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bondo Levidze didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute of the match Tiburcio Haimar shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leopoldo Ospin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Tadeo Iraitz charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tadeo Iraitz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 48 played minutes Deuce Athletic Club got a freekick which was hit by Tadeo Iraitz. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.
