Mads Hermansen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yoan Miloshev in the 5th minute of the match. If Cipriano Bernat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 10th minute Cipriano Bernat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haimar Sancho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hilario Platon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Mads Hermansen made a huge save. Cipriano Bernat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Haimar Sancho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cipriano Bernat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cipriano Bernat blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Haimar Sancho having to make a save. When Cipriano Bernat came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Papato Tatengue fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cipriano Bernat couldn't finish the play. Roque Loiola hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gilberto Mendoza during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yoan Miloshev got free with Mads Hermansen in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

He was immediately shown a red card. In the 52nd minute, one of Club Atletico Huaco:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Club Atletico Huaco. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Bernat in the 61st minute of play forced Club Atletico Huaco's goalkeeper Haimar Sancho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Club Atletico Huaco's Haimar Sancho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atletico Huaco from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciriaco Urki in the 77th minute of play forced Papato Tatengue's goalkeeper Mads Hermansen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Club Atletico Huaco's Haimar Sancho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fragiskos Fitriansyah in the 83rd minute of play. Haimar Sancho made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Cipriano Bernat sent off a good shot on target. After 88 played minutes Papato Tatengue got a freekick which was hit by Fragiskos Fitriansyah. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Papato Tatengue's goalkeeper Mads Hermansen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 96th minute Club Atletico Huaco were awarded a corner. Hilario Platon went to the cornerflag to take it. Papato Tatengue succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Club Atletico Huaco had controlled the match.
