The audience thought a goal was coming when Santos Chinto got free with Tomás Bonifaco in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Alvi Boton defense, Bart Pellen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Afonso Veloso. The Alvi Boton fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Afonso Veloso should have stopped the shot. Salvador Felipillo hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Afonso Veloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bart Pellen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the game, Candelaria FC's Arnaldo Marquez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Afonso Veloso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The wind increased when Santos Chinto made the kick off in the second half. Tomás Bonifaco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santos Chinto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Alvi Boton's goalie and right to Timoteo Michael. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Alvi Boton's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Afonso Veloso came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Candelaria FC's Antonio Alzamendi. But to his dismay, Antonio Alzamendi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. After a rather tough play, Alvi Boton's Salvador Felipillo got a free kick in the 86th minute. With a little luck, Alvi Boton's Afonso Veloso got control of the ball when Okanalp Özdil tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 97th minute, Candelaria FC's Christian Gómez dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-7.
