Bernardo Raggio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santos Chinto in the 19th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Salvador Felipillo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Belgrano de Pibasog's Bernardo Raggio. Bernardo Raggio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 24 played minutes Alvi Boton got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Cordarrol. David Mundo was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 26 minutes into the match. In the 29th minute, Judas Verón made a precise shot to the right of Afonso Veloso. Alvi Boton's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Silvio Abadia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Afonso Veloso made a huge save. Maximiano Delgado made a great header on Belgrano de Pibasog's corner, it was just that Alvi Boton's Afonso Veloso managed to reach the ball for a save. After 33rd play minutes Honorato Jerrold shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Afonso Veloso and just under the crossbar into goal. 41 minutes into the match, Pawel Grabowicz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Afonso Veloso. Alvi Boton's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pawel Grabowicz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. In the 45th match minute, Alvi Boton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Apolo Alvarez to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 46 minutes, Judas Verón managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Belgrano de Pibasog's supporters crossed their fingers, but Judas Verón was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

In the 55th match minute, Alvi Boton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Apolo Alvarez to maneuver through the defense. Belgrano de Pibasog's Melquiades Henrico was substituted for Justino Frederico. A collision led to Alvi Boton getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Apolo Alvarez hit a great ball. 59 minutes into the game, Santos Chinto recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bernardo Raggio. Santos Chinto showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-2. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 5-2 when Judas Verón sped through Alvi Boton's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Afonso Veloso. If Silvio Abadia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iulian Ilinca blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Afonso Veloso having to make a save. Silvio Abadia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salvador Felipillo in the 76th minute of play forced Belgrano de Pibasog's goalkeeper Bernardo Raggio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Apolo Alvarez hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After 80 minutes Alvi Boton's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Pawel Grabowicz who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Belgrano de Pibasog's corner Pawel Grabowicz fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Afonso Veloso quite easily take care of the ball. In the 82nd minute, Iulian Ilinca made a precise shot to the right of Afonso Veloso. Alvi Boton's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-2. In the 86th minute, Iulian Ilinca ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Afonso Veloso was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iulian Ilinca in the 89th minute of play forced Alvi Boton's goalkeeper Afonso Veloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Belgrano de Pibasog's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
