Spectators: 143 (Terracing: 108, Seating: 33, VIP seats: 2) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Santos Chinto made the kick off which started today's match. In the 5th minute, Candelaria FC's Bart Pellen dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 8 minutes into the game, Timoteo Michael cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Afonso Veloso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sven-Olof Sjöberg got free with Afonso Veloso in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arnaldo Marquez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Afonso Veloso made a huge save. Alvi Boton's Afonso Veloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bart Pellen in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute Bart Pellen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Veloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Bart Pellen took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Afonso Veloso to make any attempt to save it. In the 18th minute, Enrique Henry ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tomás Bonifaco was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Arnaldo Marquez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Afonso Veloso stood somewhat misplaced when Arnaldo Marquez came free in front of goal and shot 4-1 to the left of him in the 22 minute. A collision led to Candelaria FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Timoteo Michael hit a great ball. Arnaldo Marquez who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Afonso Veloso when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 30 minutes into the match, Alvi Boton's goalkeeper Afonso Veloso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sven-Olof Sjöberg. Tomás Bonifaco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santos Chinto in the 33rd minute of play. Afonso Veloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timoteo Michael in the 36th minute of the match. In the 39th minute of the match Marciano Lekubegi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Afonso Veloso showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 44th match minute, Alvi Boton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Mundo to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Alvi Boton's goalkeeper Afonso Veloso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Arnaldo Marquez made the kick off in the second half. Sven-Olof Sjöberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Afonso Veloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Salvador Felipillo kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Afonso Veloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Gómez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 78 minutes into the match, Alvi Boton's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Gómez came free, but Afonso Veloso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Alvi Boton getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Enrique Henry hit a great ball. Afonso Veloso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Antonio Alzamendi's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Afonso Veloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Gómez, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 92nd minute Antonio Alzamendi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Veloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Alvi Boton defense, Antonio Alzamendi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Afonso Veloso. The Alvi Boton fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Afonso Veloso should have stopped the shot. Candelaria FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
