In the 27th minute Camilo Sexto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marciano Fagondo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Basilio Sauveur made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Manuel Marchidan sent off a good shot on target. Arnie Mcquoid charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arnie Mcquoid the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Tricolor getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Arnie Mcquoid hit a great ball. Marciano Fagondo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camilo Sexto in the 46th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Marchidan in the 52nd minute of play forced Don Malbec's goalkeeper Basilio Sauveur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 61 minutes into the match, Christian Luzea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Basilio Sauveur. Don Malbec's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Christian Luzea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 64th minute Manuel Marchidan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basilio Sauveur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 69 minutes into the match, Don Malbec's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardino Gil came free, but Basilio Sauveur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Don Malbec's Basilio Sauveur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Marchidan in the 82nd minute of play. When Tricolor's Manuel Marchidan in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Don Malbec's goalie prevented a goal. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 89th minute Christian Luzea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basilio Sauveur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Basilio Sauveur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardino Gil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Basilio Sauveur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Luzea in the 92nd minute of play. Ted Lasso struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Marciano Fagondo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Don Malbec. Don Malbec's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
