The crowd rose to their feet as All Boys's Pablo Solchaga slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marciano Fagondo. That made the score 1-0 after 6 minutes of play. Marciano Fagondo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pablo Solchaga, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Tricolor's goal looked a bit too open when Pablo Solchaga came free, but Marciano Fagondo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marciano Fagondo made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Domenico Tellini sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tómas Planet in the 19th minute of play forced All Boys's goalkeeper Luizinho de Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the match, All Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Marchidan came free, but Luizinho de Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luizinho de Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Luzea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marciano Fagondo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Vella in the 35th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Tricolor's goalkeeper Marciano Fagondo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Vella. All Boys's Luizinho de Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Marchidan in the 46th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pablo Solchaga to make the kick off. In the 75th minute of the match Bernardino Gil sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luizinho de Queirós skillfully saved the ball. Carlos Casteglione kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. All Boys's Adan Platon was substituted for Ettore Rosati. In the 78th match minute, All Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Casteglione to maneuver through the defense.
