Marcial Lordi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Baki Ulualp in the 13th minute of the match. After some careless play in the RIVER defense, Alfredo Graciani kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcial Lordi. The RIVER fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcial Lordi should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Growlithe FC booed when RIVER was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giovanni Lenhardt didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexander Palmer in the 32nd minute of play forced RIVER's goalkeeper Marcial Lordi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 38 minutes into the match, RIVER's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Baki Ulualp came free, but Marcial Lordi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcial Lordi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexander Palmer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Growlithe FC's Eros Mancuso got a free kick in the 47th minute. After 48 played minutes Growlithe FC got a freekick which was hit by Eros Mancuso. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Alexander Palmer made the kick off in the second half. Bernabe Armani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eric Târban, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 56 minutes into the match, RIVER's goal looked a bit too open when Alexander Palmer came free, but Marcial Lordi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Alexander Palmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. RIVER made a substitution. Pipo Benedetto replaced Wu Li Zhi. After a rather tough play, RIVER's Niki Lauda got a free kick in the 62nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexander Palmer in the 69th minute of play forced RIVER's goalkeeper Marcial Lordi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, RIVER's Marcial Lordi got control of the ball when Alfredo Graciani tried to sneak it across the goal line. 78 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when RIVER's Pipo Benedetto fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Growlithe FC's Barış Ziya was substituted for Alexander Palmer. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Barış Ziya in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcial Lordi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niki Lauda in the 84th minute of play forced Growlithe FC's goalkeeper Bernabe Armani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Domingo Remigio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 86th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bernabe Armani. Growlithe FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Barış Ziya might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcial Lordi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Barış Ziya ran back to his position shaking his head. Marcial Lordi made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Alfredo Graciani sent off a good shot on target. Alfredo Graciani scored 1-2 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcial Lordi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Niki Lauda in the 98th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bernabe Armani saved Growlithe FC from getting behind.
