The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Gavino Gabino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sébastien Frey was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 9 minutes into the match, ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s Gavino Gabino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sébastien Frey narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s goalkeeper Oliverio Kahn, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 19 minutes into the game, Ermegildo Errolan threw the ball into play from the sideline. ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s Joel Carli quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Oliverio Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Cordarin, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. If Gavino Gabino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Oliverio Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 石皓洲 in the 27th minute of the match. In the 28th minute Tomás Cordarin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oliverio Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute, Gavino Gabino reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sébastien Frey. The goal made the score 2-0. Oliverio Kahn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomás Cordarin went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Joel Carli kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Ermegildo Errolan made in the 37th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Tomás Cordarin immediately put the ball in play. Gavino Gabino who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 41stth minute tested the skills of Sébastien Frey when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 石皓洲 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Oliverio Kahn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gavino Gabino to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gavino Gabino in the 51st minute of play forced TORQUE F.C.'s goalkeeper Sébastien Frey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 65 played minutes ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆ got a freekick which was hit by Dedê Donatello. ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s Ezequiel Lavezzi was substituted for Benedito Camargo. Dedê Donatello hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Oliverio Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dave Mancinelli in the 77th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, TORQUE F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Saturnino Romo came free, but Sébastien Frey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 84 played minutes TORQUE F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Tomás Cordarin. The audience was convinced that Saturnino Romo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sébastien Frey was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Saturnino Romo struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Sébastien Frey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆ had won after a very even match.
