Gianluca Buffon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gavino Gabino, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Gianluca Buffon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gavino Gabino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gavino Gabino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gianluca Buffon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play.

The wind increased when Bruno Sauveur made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Uriel Ferrer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Oliverio Kahn. ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Uriel Ferrer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. 55 minutes into the game, ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s Gavino Gabino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gianluca Buffon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Oliverio Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ubaldo Gelacio in the 58th minute of play. In the 59th match minute, Defensores de Lombroso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Federico Pirro to maneuver through the defense. Gianluca Buffon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gavino Gabino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 61 minutes had been played when some careless play by Defensores de Lombroso's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tobias Xacintu was slow to take the kick. During this time ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s players had a chance to rest. Luis Frisco made a great header on ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s corner, it was just that Defensores de Lombroso's Gianluca Buffon managed to reach the ball for a save. With a left leg Gianluca Buffon saved Defensores de Lombroso from getting behind. In the 73rd minute, Valentín Barco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Saturnino Romo came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Saturnino Romo couldn't finish the play. Gianluca Buffon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saturnino Romo in the 80th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute of the match ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆ got a corner. Defensores de Lombroso's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tobias Xacintu ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s Dedê Donatello getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. If Saturnino Romo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Defensores de Lombroso's Gianluca Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saturnino Romo in the 85th minute of play. Defensores de Lombroso's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
