Guilherme Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Davide Franco managed to avoid a goal in the 9thth minute, when Willy Brown FC's Tiro Aureo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 12th minute Tiro Aureo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Davide Franco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 12 minutes into the game, Tiro Aureo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Davide Franco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 15 minutes into the match, Locura Académica's goalkeeper Davide Franco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elpidio Samuel. Willy Brown FC's Isaac Aimar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaudencio Hartz in the 17th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Willy Brown FC's goal looked a bit too open when Urbano Ortega came free, but Isaac Aimar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stephen Strange's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Davide Franco firmly grabbed it by the left post. Davide Franco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Steve Brayer in the 23rd minute. If Ronald Koeman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guilherme Cruz took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Davide Franco. Davide Franco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. After a rather tough play, Locura Académica's Saip Umural got a free kick in the 37th minute. Davide Franco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiro Aureo, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Tiro Aureo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Davide Franco came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Willy Brown FC's Elpidio Samuel. But to his dismay, Elpidio Samuel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. If Elpidio Samuel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Willy Brown FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Anselmo Hernandez hit a great ball. Locura Académica's Davide Franco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guilherme Cruz in the 68th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronald Koeman in the 69th minute of play forced Willy Brown FC's goalkeeper Isaac Aimar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes into the match, Locura Académica's goal looked a bit too open when Guilherme Cruz came free, but Davide Franco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute Tiro Aureo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Davide Franco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Willy Brown FC's Isaac Aimar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronald Koeman in the 79th minute of play. Davide Franco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elpidio Samuel in the 81st minute of the match. Elpidio Samuel took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Davide Franco. Davide Franco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Isaac Aimar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gaudencio Hartz in the 92nd minute. Locura Académica were awarded a corner in the 93th minute after Willy Brown FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Remus Pinches took the corner. In the 95th match minute, Willy Brown FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiro Aureo to maneuver through the defense. Locura Académica's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
