Club Deportivo Español's Turgut Talha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vassilis Vonortas in the 13th minute of play. Vacid Nefer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Turgut Talha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vassilis Vonortas in the 25th minute of the match. In the 30th minute Braulio Berbiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Turgut Talha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Calamuchita booed when Club Deportivo Español was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petrică Bărbulescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Florian Kicia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind C.A. Calamuchita's goalkeeper Florian Kicia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 84 minutes, Vacid Nefer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Calamuchita got a freekick which was hit by Braulio Berbiz. The Club Deportivo Español support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
