In the 11th minute Clemente Emesto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodosio Nuxila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Armando Monico made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Folkert Engelaar sent off a good shot on target. 14 minutes into the match, Guiñazú FC's goal looked a bit too open when Folkert Engelaar came free, but Armando Monico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Armando Monico took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Folkert Engelaar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. El Golden Volvió!'s Teodosio Nuxila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ali Modrić in the 19th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 22 minutes, Armando Monico successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Armando Monico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Lorenzo in the 24th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by You Chao Yao in the 25th minute of play forced Guiñazú FC's goalkeeper Armando Monico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teodosio Nuxila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clemente Emesto, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After 28 minutes El Golden Volvió!'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ali Modrić who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Guiñazú FC's corner Ali Modrić fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Teodosio Nuxila quite easily take care of the ball. In the 29th minute of the match Guiñazú FC got a corner. El Golden Volvió!'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ali Modrić ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Guiñazú FC's corner Ali Modrić fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Teodosio Nuxila quite easily take care of the ball. El Golden Volvió!'s Teodosio Nuxila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ali Modrić in the 31st minute of play. After some careless play in the Guiñazú FC defense, Folkert Engelaar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Armando Monico. The Guiñazú FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Armando Monico should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Folkert Engelaar managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Golden Volvió!'s supporters rose to their feet, but Folkert Engelaar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Armando Monico breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Honorato Manex took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Armando Monico to make any attempt to save it. 44 minutes into the match, El Golden Volvió!'s goal looked a bit too open when Ali Modrić came free, but Teodosio Nuxila reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ali Modrić to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Folkert Engelaar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The El Golden Volvió! fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Teodosio Nuxila stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Clemente Emesto's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Clemente Emesto put it in 3-3 from a short distance just to the right of Teodosio Nuxila. Armando Monico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honorato Manex in the 66th minute of play. 71 minutes into the match, Guiñazú FC's goal looked a bit too open when Folkert Engelaar came free, but Armando Monico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 72 minutes into the game, Guiñazú FC's Cirilo Orain nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Teodosio Nuxila made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-4. After 79 played minutes El Golden Volvió! got a freekick which was hit by Folkert Engelaar. If Marcos Lorenzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. El Golden Volvió!'s Teodosio Nuxila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lisandro Pagomari in the 88th minute of play. In the 90th match minute, El Golden Volvió! was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugenios Dokas to maneuver through the defense. The Guiñazú FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Guiñazú FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
