The audience thought a goal was coming when Enrique Frasco got free with Raimundo Obano in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. LA InDuStRiA INC's Raimundo Obano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save LA InDuStRiA INC from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Enrique Frasco got free with Raimundo Obano in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in LA InDuStRiA INC's zone, Enrique Frasco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raimundo Obano came out of the goal and Enrique Frasco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of LA InDuStRiA INC booed when Juniors FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Augusto Borges didn't get a good kick on the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Juniors FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristobal Lalla came free, but Lázaro Colon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomás Salomon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Wlodzimierz Lepper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lázaro Colon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Leoncio, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 42 minutes into the match, Juniors FC's Enrique Frasco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raimundo Obano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Saverio Reyes made a kick off. LA InDuStRiA INC's Arturo Perpinya was substituted for Cristobal Lalla. Juniors FC made a substitution. Jerzy Piszczor replaced Daniel Loi. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Juniors FC's goalkeeper Lázaro Colon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 90th minute, Severino Garikoitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arturo Perpinya could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Lázaro Colon made a huge save.
