The ACF Fiorentina fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when ACF Fiorentina's Bengt-Rune Fastesson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Brown de Adrogue's defense didn't have a chance, in the 93rd minute, when Maximino Cabezon scored to the left of an out of position Moise Latarețu, making the score, 0-6. After 96 played minutes Brown de Adrogue got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Santo. In the 96th minute of the match Horia Anisie sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Moise Latarețu skillfully saved the ball. The ACF Fiorentina supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ACF Fiorentina would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
